hi there, and welcome!
My name is Bettina and I'm a 30 yo Swiss from and currently living in Bern, Switzerland. When not blogging, I am working as a lawyer in a small law firm where I focus on corporate and sports law.
Generally, I’m very much into sports – I’ve tried almost everything from dancing and gymnastics to handball and athletics over the years. I competed as an elite athlete in orienteering and was a member of the Swiss national team until I “retired” from elite sports in 2015ish. I still orienteer, but nowadays I mostly run (if not injured or pregnant…), bike or swim. Apart from dancing salsa, I like riding boards of all kinds (snow, skate and surf).
I started blogging in 2007 when I moved to Sweden for an exchange year. After one year of Sweden-tales, I used to blog mainly about orienteering and stuff. Now this blog is more about life-experiences in general. Mostly just stuff.
I am always curious about people's backgrounds and the stories they have to tell, because I think our stories are what make us who we are. So yes, stories are what you’ll find on this blog from time to time as well.
7 things I say a lot:
- Can we go for brunch some time soon? - quite often.
- Sooo... - at least twenty times when trying to end a phone call.
- Have you seen my xyz? - before I start actually looking for the thing.
- That's a good question indeed! - if I haven't really been listening to the other person.
- Do you think we can get it back to life? - before another good-bye to another probably dead plant.
- Oh, now I think I do have seen this film already! - at 45' into a movie that I have seen already.
- How much longer is this gonna take? - if I need to wait for something, always.
